The whole lot likes to say hi!

Thanks! No, for multiple reasons. I have to keep an eye on them, cause my room isn't chin proof, I'm also afraid I'll turn over in my sleep and squash them. Lastly, my dogs sleep in bed with me, so not a good combo lol.

I haven't enclosed anything actually. They just stay on my bed, I didn't teach them or anything, they just do😅

I have, one of my groups is a group of four girls, they're superclose. I also once had a group of 5 boys, that didn't work, they fought too much.

Oh no definitely not😅 I have girls and uncastrated boys. Definitely not an option. Also, playtime is usually on my bed because the room isn't really rodent proof.

Yes they love it! Removing the compartments isn't really possible, but by creating holes in certain parts they can all be connected someday.

Of course! Here you go, this is a picture of the cages in my bedroom. It's too dark to take a photo of the one downstairs at the moment. Someday when I downsize on the amount of chins I have, I want to connect every part.

    Bonding of chinchilla

Hi there, I see this post is from a few months ago, but do you still need the help? It'd be a very good idea to get a mate for your chin. In my experience, chins NEED a mate, someone to cuddle and play with. Having a lone chinchilla could lead to depression and death. However, bonding definitely...

Thanks! I absolutely adore them, I'm actually replying to you with Marlee cuddling on my chest. I have 2 gigantic cages that my dad built for me. Both are as high as the ceiling, one of them is divided into 3 cages and the other into 2. They both have lights in them that I can turn on and off. I...

    Chirping when Scared? Stranger Danger?

To add, I always say: Nobody will ever know how cuddly most of my chinchilla's are. Most come for a cuddle and a kiss when I open the cage, but they don't do that when someone else is standing next to me. They're very attached to people they know and strangers are scary to them.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I'm going to be honest with you, my chins are a hobby that got way out of hand. Without further a do, here is the whole family: Hedwig, Errol, Ash, Olaf, Sven, Clark, Oliver, Felicity, Marlee, America, Ashley, Carly and Sam. As you may notice, I have some...

What are your favorite chinchilla products?

My little guys and girls absolutely LOVE cork! You can lay it down in the cage or even better: Let it hang from the ceiling, guaranteed fun times and not that expensive.

    Bonding problems

Hi! I'm quite an experienced chinchilla owner, but I could really use some help with the problem I'm facing at the moment. One of my elderly chins passed away, his mate, Ash, is only 2 years old, and I wanted to add him to a twosome , Sven and Clark I already had. I did it as I usually do, by...
