Being sociable, affectionate, and sweet are just some of the beautiful traits that chinchillas have. While they don't bond with their owners quite easily, they can be pretty sweet when they do. With that said, can you share the cutest/most adorable moment you have had with your chin?

Short life span, solitary nature, room temperature requirement, large cage requirement, sensitivity to loud sounds, and stubbornness that some may never bond with humans, are some of the challenges to having hedgies as pets. But why a hedgehog?

I'm curious, how did you decide to have chinchillas as pets? Were you young and just really liked them, or did you get them after becoming an adult? Did you know that you may or may not be able to hold them? Please tell me.:)
