I live with my mother in a apartment who does NOT allow pets... but yet the neighbors have dogs who bark all hours of the night... i know the stress of having to hide my chins for inspections.. as i feel it shouldnt be a big deal its not like a dog or cat who roams around the house ...

Yeah I had searched it and called to see... I will pull up my paper work later on but the guy told me it would be 12 a month for each chin.. But I would have to had the chin for 3 months( how would they know) which sounded kinda fishy its not like a place u can go and they check your chins for...

So I was doing some research and I believe there is a health and medical insurance for exotic animals/ chinchillas... Im wondering any one has it and how good it is and the name of the company? Thanks

hey yall thank you for your responses and help... i have attached photos of a healthy now 5 day old kit. sadly the other one was pushed out too late and was stillborn :( but this little kit is active and happy and getting bigger by the day :):)

I have recently adopted a female chinchilla from an animal shelter 2 weeks ago. i woke up this morning to see that she had pushed out a kit. only one. i am not sure if she has another in there or if it takes time between births? please give me some advise i am close to just taking her to the vet...
