    Meet Eros!

Hahah, thanks. No worries, I knew what you meant. ;) I thought about it but honestly I’ve only ever had single chinchillas. I don’t think I really could afford/handle two right now. I’m home a lot anyway especially now and he lives in my bedroom so he gets a lot of interaction from me. And yes...

    Meet Eros!

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. I didn’t want to put this in “New Owner Questions” since I’m not a new owner, I just wanted to take moment to have you guys meet my new chinnie! I know that a couple of months ago my boyfriend and I discussed a new chinchilla it and he didn’t think it...

ISO Used (but only good condition) Ferret Nation Add-on Cage

Please message me if anyone has an extra add-on unit that they would want to part with, and that they would be selling at a fair price. I live in NJ and would most likely need it to be shipped to me disassembled. Thanks in advance~

    Pink Himalayan Salt Lamp

Yes, I agree. The rest is being taken out before he arrives, and I would never want him to ingest the scent if they were lit. I just wasn’t sure about the lamp because it’s electric like a regular light. I’ll just keep the lamp unlit. :)

    Pink Himalayan Salt Lamp

Long story short, I’m actually expecting a new chinnie friend in April. It was unexpected the way it happened but I truly felt the way it did happen was meant to be, and I’m extremely excited for him to get here. 🥰 I’m slowly getting everything I need for his arrival (I just ordered all of my...

    Potentially Rehoming a Chinchilla CONCERNS

Thanks so much for everyone’s help with this. In all honesty, my boyfriend and I were out yesterday at a café and he had mentioned to me that there’s a possibility that he and I could be living together within this year (long story short his brother might be moving out and offering us his place)...

    Potentially Rehoming a Chinchilla CONCERNS

Thank you both. They said they didn’t want money from me, just someone to love her. EDIT: I also have another rehoming lead by someone else, so I’m also highly considering that option. 🙂

    Potentially Rehoming a Chinchilla CONCERNS

Thanks so much for replying to me, Amethyst. 🙏🏻 If you don’t mind, I can PM you the photos I was sent so you can see them for yourself. I do have a Critter Nation cage but right now I don’t have the pans. I would have to order those first before taking her, as well as getting her other supplies...

    Potentially Rehoming a Chinchilla CONCERNS

Hey, guys! I haven't been active on here in so long! I really should come in here more. I haven’t really felt the need to post since I lost Titan a few years ago, but I’m finally ready to move on and get a new chinchilla. Titan came from a pet store (was also missexed. He was sold to me as a...

    Ferret Nation Fleece Liners?

Hey guys! So, I'm in the market for some fleece liners. I'm going to be purchasing a single Ferret Nation cage for my little girl, but I would love to have the liners first so I can get everything all set up before moving Amaris into her new home. I saw a few on Etsy, but I feel like some of...

    Chinchilla Proofing a Room

Hey, Winston! Thanks for your help! No, it's not. I ordered one that has zippered enclosures, but I ended up making a foldable playpen similar to what you showed, but no bars for her to try to squeeze through. I'm in the process of chin proofing the entire room, but this seems like a good option...

    Chinchilla Proofing a Room

Hey, guys! I was wondering how you guys chinchilla proof a room for playtime? I know electrical cords are a big no-no, but what do you guys do about things that need to be plugged in, like lamps and alarm clocks? Any tips you guys have on how to successfully chinchilla proof a bedroom would be...

    Hanging Toy Suggestions?

Ah, there's an apple version? I'll have to keep a lookout for that!

    Hanging Toy Suggestions?

Thank you so much! I just removed those chew rings from her cage, and will be replacing it with an Oxbow Timothy Hay toy in the shape of a carrot that I found tonight!

    Hanging Toy Suggestions?

Hey, everyone! I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions on a good hanging toy for my chinchilla, Amaris! She's seemed to already destroy most of her toss toys. I had the WARE Carnival Crop Chew Rings for her which she loved a little too much I think. XD I've noticed she chewed them...

    New Chinparent Here!

Thank you both for the tip about the raisins. I won't give her those anymore and will get rosehips. Would I have to break the rosehip apart when feeding it to her? How big can it be? Do chinchillas snore? She just made a sound that is similar to that? O_o

    New Chinparent Here!

Aw. I'm a little wary about taking Amaris into the bathroom due to the bathtub, sink, and toilet. That's a lot of places for her to get wet. How do yours behave when they're in there? She started to give me the affection nibbles last night and she's letting me pet her while standing still. I'd...

    New Chinparent Here!

Sorry for double posting but I got her to eat the raisin. However, I had to kind of drop it in her cage. I tried to approach her with it, and she got afraid. I just wanted to reward her for letting me give her scratches this morning. I also didn't give her a full raisin. I know those aren't the...

    New Chinparent Here!

Thank you all so, so much for your kind words and helpful advice! She allowed me to give her ear and chin scratches this morning while I was tidying up her cage! I wanted to give her a treat for allowing me to do so, but she still runs away. Do any of your chinchillas shy away front treats...
