So…this has been a very hot year. it’s not even summer officially until the 21st and it’s already in the late 90s and early 100s(my computer doesn’t have the degrees sign) in the afternoon and it’s putting a lot of stress on my air conditioner and my poor Chico. i have an air conditioner in my room which I keep on all day on high(its one of the older models which doesn’t have a temp. setting on it) and never open my door except to go in and I shut it right back. Despite my efforts, my room still reaches 78- even 80 at times during the afternoon and it’s worrying me! I keep a close eye on him and if it gets too hot, I’ll bring him down and hold him in front of the freezer to cool down and I’ll take him back up and do it again a couple hours later if it’s still really hot. Idk what I’m gonna do if it gets much hotter(on average)also, bringing him in another room isn’t an option as I have six younger siblings who would terrorize him, lol. I can keep an eye on him and the temp while im home but I mean, it’s summer and I have church camp to go to in July.(it’s a week long.) does anyone have any ideas on how else I can keep him cool?(I also freeze 6 oz sprite cans for him to cuddle up against(which really helps) and I have a full, tile floor in his cage. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!❤
