So I want to remake the platforms in my chins' cage and have been trying to find safe wood... I was wondering is kiln dried oak safe? Thanks!!!

As said oak is not safe, the easiest to find safe wood in stores is either kiln dried pine or poplar.

Safe wood include:

Apple
Arbutus
Ash
Aspen
Black Currant
Blackberry
Blueberry
Cholla
Cottonwood
Crab Apple
Dogwood
Gooseberry
Grape
Grapevine
Hawthorne
Hazelnut
Kiwi
Lime Tree/Linden
Madrona/Madrone
Magnolia
Manzanita
Medlar
Mulberry
Pear
Pecan
Pine (kiln dried)
Poplar
Quince
Rose Wood
Sycamore
Willow (not white)
Yucca

To clarify, if I were to use poplar to make ledges, I wouldn't need to try and find kiln-dried poplar? Just whatever (untreated) poplar is at the lumber store?

No you don't need kiln dried poplar it just needs to be dried. Pine needs to be kiln dried because it contains sap and oils that are not safe, the kiln drying process allows the sap to drip out or harden, and the oils to evaporate.
