Does anyone have a resource or idea for a "soft" wire reusable toy? My dude doesn't care for toys attached to the wall, but if it's on the ground he likes to throw it around or carry it to the other floors. Ideally maybe a wire that links to itself to close to make a loop that you can replace...

Thanks Amethyst. I'm recognizing that my activities (mostly getting up to let the dogs out) are not particularly "loud" activities, and nature doesn't exactly provide a perfectly quiet environment, so he probably has some built-in noise-cancelling. :LOL:

Has anyone had success with getting a secondary 'daytime' cage for another (less busy) part of the house during the day when chins sleep the most? Or do you think this would just create confusion/stress with where his "home" is supposed to be? I'm curious what you guys think before I invest in a...

Just the one. He's already about 5-6 years old and he's always been a solo chin with lots of human attention, so no plans to get another chin just yet. He gets lots of out-of-cage time and he's so comfortable around people and daily activities - he even chased me when I was trying to vacuum...

New chin mom here, preparing to make my own shelves from untreated pine and I'm trying to plan how big they should be. Is there a minimum size (for an adult chinchilla)? Is it better to have a lot of small ledges, or just a few medium-sized shelves? Thank you in advance!!
