My chin doesn't look "as bad" but she does breath like that sometimes during playtime, I'm calling the vet back & telling him right away. Any suggestions if he put's her on antibiotics with her just starting to get over GI stasis? She's still eating, drinking & pooping plus she's not weak...

Just wondering...does anyone know how long it takes for Metacam to "kick in" for a chinchilla?

Is it okay to give acidophilus as a preventive and where can you buy the good stuff? I have a chin with GI issues right now, was wondering if it would hurt her to mix in some acidophilus with her critical care? Also how much would you give? Thanks.

Thanks, when he calls I will let you know what medicine he's putting her on. (I know he will give her something for the pain, but I will get all the names of the medications and list them here) He said with chins you never know which way it will go but so far it looks promising. :thumbsup:
