Bells are not safe, I've never had a problem but some chin have decided to chew the bell clapper and get the bell caught in their teeth. Chins are seriously like toddlers, lol. Otherwise those are fine. It is a lot cheaper though if you just buy some refillable metal toy skewers and then buy toys parts in bulk so you can make your own toys.
Ok.

Sorry to interject girls 😃 if you have a bit of time on your hands chins for life. ..you could try making your own dangling boredom breaker/ chew. They are pretty easy....as amethyst says coconut husks aren't safe but shells are....but you do need to boil them in a pan of water first....repeat till water is clear. Drill small hole in bottom, then you need some natural loofer (that you can cut into slices), natural pumice stone and off cuts of kiln dried pine, suitable wood sticks, willow balls etc. You can colour your pine and willow balls with food colouring. Then you just need to tread some wire through, attach a small carabiner clip on one end. X

The coconut shell only needs to be prepared if you are doing it yourself not getting it from a pet vendor, the ones you buy from people that sell chinchilla stuff should already be boiled and baked dry. ;)

You can even go one step cheaper with the toys, as I mentioned buy metal toy skewers/kabobs ( like this Kaytee Small Animal Ka-Bob Dispenser or the ones for birds) and then you can just refill the toys as they get chewed. Those are pretty much all I use anymore.

I got my dust, hay, willow sticks and water bottle yesterday. The hay looks yellow in the pics but its very green in person and smells very sweet!

Couldn't I just make my own with wire?

You can, but I found it to be a pain though and you can only reuse the wire so many times. With the toy kabobs you can easily just unscrew it and dump all the pieces off, replace any chewed pieces, and then reassemble the toy and it's "new" again. If you can get stainless steel wire cheap or free (you do not want to use galvanized, it's coated in zinc, which is toxic) and you are good with using pliers to twist and untwist the wire (or simply just use new wire each time). I end up getting annoyed with the wire and it gets crimped over time if I reuse it too much, causing the toy pieces to be hard to put on and take off. It's up to you though, if wire is the way you want to go that is fine.

Oh ok. Thank you!

The willow balls are ok, but it does depend on the chin, my guys really don't care about the little willow balls, unless I put something in them. My cats get more enjoyment out of them. The do like the bigger willow balls though, like the 2" and bigger. Another thing, when ordering on Amazon pay attention to where the toys are coming from, if they are coming from china there is a good chance they aren't safe.

Yeah, I think so too!😊

My 10 year old sister was saved last weekend!!😃 Praise the lord!!! She thought she was saved when she was 6 but realized she hadn't been. So she asked Jesus, that night, to come live in her heart and be her Savior! Which is great! I'm very happy for her but she may be baptized the day he is ready though, Idk if I'm gonna be able to get him that day.😑 Hopefully we can just go afterwards or that afternoon.

If you don't mind me asking, do you go to church anywhere?
No, not anymore, I think the last time I want to a church (not counting for my wedding ;) ) was.... almost 20 years ago? (ok thinking about that makes me feel old,). We don't live in town, I no longer currently drive, and my husband works any and all days of the week, including Sundays, so we never joined one.

Oh ok! Lol. Did you when you were younger? When you lived in Maine?
