Hiya so my chins usually have supreme science selective and it was running out so I ordered more but it won't be here till Monday and their food already ran out.

I was integrating beapher care plus but it's currently fed at the ratio of like 4 science to 1 beapher

I ran around stores but everywhere was sold out. All I could get were pets at home pellets which they've never had

So, my question (finally) should I just feed beapher for today and tomorrow or should I feed pets at home too? What would be the best solution? (There is also the like powder at the bottom of the science selective from crushed pellets so maybe I can do something with that..?)

If they have been eating some beapher care food I would just give a small amount of that and hay, or just give hay, no pellets, for a couple days. Otherwise to switch, since you don't have any of the science selective, you would want to hold off on pellets all together for a few days, just feeding hay, to hopefully avoid digestive upset. Since by then you will have the right food it's not worth giving a different food only to switch foods again, every time you switch foods you run the risk of digestive upset so it's best not to unless you plan to switch for good.

If you want to you can try making pellet cookies, mix the powdered pellets with some water (so it's like a paste) and hay, make into small chinchilla size cookies then bake on nonstick foil until hard and dry. A recipe for critical care cookies says bake at 200F for about an hour, so I'm sure pellet cookies would be about the same.

You're a lifesaver as always!! Thank you 🐭❤️
It will probably be 2 full days without their usual pellets so I'm thinking a small handful of beapher (not too much more than usual) and I'll mix the powder with some critical care which I feed my boy anyways daily bc he has a heart murmur and needs some extra tlc to keep weight on ( I don't have foil atm...) And give that to both of them both nights
Anyways thanks again 💖
