hi everyone! ive been doing lots of research and purchasing things online in preparation for my chin and was curious where everyone does their shopping. a lot of the threads of vendors on here are old and some of the links are broken or shops no longer exist, so it would be awesome if anyone could hook me up with some of their favorite stores or some of their favorite products! thank you!!

edit; the thing ive been struggling most with finding is a decent wooden chin house if anyone has some good recs

Rondas Chins for sticks, herbs and treats. Highest quality

Agreed! And me too! Would be great if we could get a new recommended vendors thread going! Please and thank you!!!!

Thank you everyone for the recs! Id like to addhttp://www.tjschinchillasupplies.com/index.html even though I have not personally ordered anything yet, it was highly recommended to me for toys, ledges, etc.
The only thing about TJ's is that shipping is crazy expensive, it's $20 just for a few toss toys to my location. I'm still in the USA as well. Other than that, it looks like a good store.

oh man, that is expensive.. im only about an hour from their location but im sure that wouldn't make a difference in shipping charges. thank you for the additional info!

I just checked for you, and the shipping was $10. Still not the cheapest, but not as bad. I checked just by putting in a random NY city in the shipping address, lol. I think it's $10 all across NY.

Shipping has gotten so expensive in the last few years, it is crazy. I have several houses from Twilight Chinchillas and love them! I have a single, double and triple story and her artwork is amazing. Rondaschins.com is decent on shipping if you order over $100, I think it is only $10 shipping anywhere in the U.S.

thank you! i honestly didnt even think to check for myself lol, that's definitely not the worst shipping ive ever seen but i probably wouldnt order from them unless it was something impossible to find

I have ordered from TJ's. Shipping may seem high, it is not. She does not make a profit on shipping charges ~ she refunds the difference! I guess she over charges to make sure she does not have to send out an invoice? That is only a guess.

These are my bookmarked places on the web for my chin. All the stores have a great selection of items. If you’re buying wood furniture you will have higher shipping charges because of the weight. It’s pretty common to see shipping prices run $7.75, $10, $13.65, $15, and $20. Some shops do charge extra and then refund the difference once your item is packed. This is done for two reasons usually and is almost always listed in their shipping terms: 1. So they can make sure to cover the actual cost and they don’t have to send you a second invoice and 2. So you can get as much into your box as possible for the least amount of money. Another thing to consider with Etsy is every item has a shipping charge so if you are buying multiple items from the same shop most have a disclaimer on their home page that says to message them so they can do a combine shipping listing for you or alternatively they will refund the overage after purchase. Honestly shipping seems expensive but if you add the cost of similar items from a “pet store” with their $4-5 or free shipping and then compare it to similar items from small business stores like these, even after shipping, 8/10 times their prices are still less, occasionally the exact same, and maybe 20% of the time slightly higher but not by much. Plus they are higher quality, specific to Chins, and you know they are 100% safe. Those 2/10 times the extra $2-5 is worth it to me for sure. Just a thought. Plus you are also supporting small business owners who keep this little chin community thriving for the furry little friends we all love so much.

this is amazing!! and i would absolutely much rather support smaller businesses that i can trust than constantly second guessing the chain pet stores.. i definitely assumed that shipping for any wood would be higher but i don't usually shop online in general so i never know really what im doing haha.. anyway, this is so so helpful for myself and anyone else that was looking for an up to date list of vendors!! thank you so much!!
