OK so I finally recieved my Chin Bed and Chin House with the Chin Chiller on the top.
I wanted to show off my new set up since I have add a few things.

It's so much wasted space if I dont use the front doors. I use to have the tube connected to the doors also. And that way I can touch the chins when they are chewing on their toys :thumbsup:

So I put 1 ledge for each cage on the door and all 3 chins LOVE it, that's the place I see them the most. I keep taking pictures, but they come out bad. My boys officially moved in to their new cage yesterday, Twilight moved in on Thursday. So far, so good. My only complaint is the fleece liners get gross QUICK. In 1 day, the liners are covered in pee and poop. 1 day.

Do you have a pee pan in the cage?

When I first started using the fleece I covered 1/3 of the floor on the bottom and top with the litter (where i noted they peed) then I added whatever they pee on into the pan and they are pretty good.
I mean I still notice some things get pee on them (like one of my chins fav sleeping boxes gross kid) but my fleece last a while. I change them every 3-4 days. Of course there is plenty of poop. If I wanted to clear the poop after a day or two I use the vaccum with the brush nosel and vaccum up the poop and its like having a clean cage again

They have litter boxes that they were doing well with in their other cage (not 100%, but maybe 25% of the time). Anymore tips for getting them to go in there? Twilight hasn't peed in the box once since she's been in the new cage.

This morning I vacuumed, it was pretty bad. I think overall I'll love the fleece liners more than the bedding

I made them with the help of my Dad and boyfriend They turned out to be a lot easier to make than I expected.

I just joined the FN ranks when I completed building Cosmo's new cage! However, I'm a little embarressed by how under-decorated it is compared to everyone elses. I'll post pictures later. For now, I'm leaving in the shelves it comes with and I'm forced to use his old cage bottom (high sides and bedding) until I can figure out a way to get fleece liners without any of the pesky sewing or money (until I get paid again at least). I'm also going to price pine boards at Lowes to see about making him a lot more shelves.

Does anyone have any suggestions for creating cage accessories without the use of any equipment almost (since I live in an apartment, though i could get a drill at some point, but I can't do any sawing or hammering) and I have no sewing skill or sawing equipment?

I can see that a lot of people attach the PVC tubes to the ceiling while some attach them to the sides. Do chins prefer one over the other? Also, how are they attached? And does the fleece have holes to attach the hardware?

Also, what is the white wheel I see in the some of the cages? How does it compare to the chin spins?

On the bottom level you cant attach them to the top so most people do it to the sides.
I use the top of the kennel along with the sides on the top 1/2 of the kennel.

I have tried the tubes everywhere and find the chins dont really care lol. One chin likes to hangout on the top another chin likes it on the sides. I move them and they hangout where the tubes are ... just whatever fits your kennel situation best!

and in response to the how do you get them to go potty in their potty dish more... I just replace mine every 2 days inbetween cages changes. I dont ever really clean the potty dish really well Id like to keep the pee-ish smell in there. I will find mine like to pee on their chin coolers also... weirdos :huh:
