Stasis and bloat My chinchilla has been on pancur and metronizodale for moderate giardia. Both times on about the third day, he stopped pooping. Eventually it righted itself because he was still eating/drinking by himself. He did some small dry poops yesterday when he went to the vet yesterday...

My chinchilla eats oxbow pellets and hardly ever has treats. He eats a lot of hay too but he ears a lot of pellets. His bowl is almost always empty. He eats those first even though it is just plain pellets. Should I stop free-feeding? Thanks for any input :)

I'm new to the forum, and it looks like a lot of good resources. I have one chinchilla named Kirby Michael. He's my dear. Right now I'm a little worried because he has soft stool but he tested negative for giardia. The doctor still told me to give him flagyl. Is this an ok med for diarrhea?
