Hi This is luigi's ear. Luigi is housed with another male chinchilla (Mario). We are unsure of what happened to luigi. we suspect his brother did this. But it is on both ears in the same location, which is suspicious. This happened today and hasn't gotten any worse. Have any of you seen this...

thank you for your replies. He doesn't play with his water. I've had Melo for 3 years and have only noticed this in the last 6 months. Nothing has changed that i know of that could trigger something like this. I have not smelled his breath, but that is a good idea. thanks!
