I recently purchased a coconut for myself and saved the shell for my chin... what do I need to do to prepare it before giving it to my chins?? I assume bake it, but is there more to it than just baking it? I haven't done anything with it yet.... ( I did look thru the posts about coconut...

I've always been told to watch for small poops, and give them Mylicon (It is a gas med for babies, aka simethicone) Once I noticed my chin had small poops, I gave her what I could, (some like it, some don't...she didn't...) and she was pooping like crazy shortly after... works like a charm and...

the infant drops work for me almost instantly, just like they do for babies. the first time I gave simethicone (sp?) my chin freaked out and didn't get a whole dropper, but any is great for them... great idea for using it during switching food as well... :)

Thank you to all of you. I was told that I need to wrap my cage with something to prevent the babies from escaping.. what do you use? I would like to pick it up and have it in case i need it. If not,then after I would return it....lol... can never be too prepared!!

Just so you all know, I am not a breeder, nor do I want to breed . I just rescued a possibly pregnant chin... but both of my chins are girls ... (wanted to clarify that :wink2:

Hello to you both also... And thank you for welcoming me!! I was at another forum trying to get information on the pregnant chin I rescued, but they strongly discourage breeding. I guess that since I 'rescued' a pregnant chin, it is still considered breeding, so they got mad for me asking...
