    Midwest Exotics?

Thanks to everyone who posted helpful solutions. And while I was unaware of her 'tantrum' on here, the remarks about it did not need to be made. I was simply asking for a way to contact to her to hold up my end of the contract. She did say no so he will be posted up on here.

    Midwest Exotics?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I am trying to get ahold of Midwest Exotics (can not remember her name for the life of me). I see that her site has been taken down and that she hasn't been on here in several months. I'm going through some several financial problems right now and can...

    Worried..

I forgot to ask, but I have a daughter of Salem's that I had housed with her before the male. She just had a kit two days ago...would it be possible to try and see if she'll accept this kit? I know it can be done, but I know there's the chance that she'll kill it. Has anyone been able to do it...

    Worried..

Vet called. Salem came out of the surgery alright. Her levels are still off but she's more alert and responding. Also some other good news, only one of the babies was stillborn. We should be able to pick them up from the vet tomorrow. The baby is still premature so there's a chance it won't...

    Worried..

Talked to the vet this morning, she's more alert but not improving much beyond that. We agreed to go ahead with the surgery to remove the kits and spay her. I am praying to the chinnie gods that she makes it through the anesthesia in her current state. As horrible as it sounds if she doesn't...

    Worried..

In reply to above. I keep my chin room around 63-65 degrees, and no she hadn't been our for her evening exercise yet. Got her to the vet yesterday. Her calcium and phosphorus are extremely off, dehydration. When they took the X-Ray they found her teeth to be fine...the problem they found is she...

    Worried..

Ok, my oldest female Salem has started acting really odd today. She's extremely lethargic. Will not eat unless I hand feed her. She keeps pawing her mouth and drooling a little. I already checked her teeth and they are normal. What really worries me is that when I pick her up she usually throws...

    Cage Pictures

Re-vamped FN Here's some pictures of my revamped FN. I still have more toys and a bridge on order, but they seem quite happy with the results. Thinking of getting another tube, there has been an epic battle over it! One chin will hop in then another will come from behind and boot them out...

    Super Mario themed cage!

I found this website that offers metal litter pans. They are for rabbits and don't come in corner shaped but I'm sure they would be easy to convert.

    Retirement Age

The way she made it sound it seems like the girl hasn't let any males near her for a few months, and hasn't produced a litter in about 6..so I am assuming that she's done with it all. I'm thinking of offering to buy the girl so that she doesn't keep trying to force mates on her.

    Retirement Age

Yes..well I found out about her chins being pet store chins about 8 months after I bought my first one. Luckily I had no plans on breeding her anyway. Which is really sad because she is the biggest sweetie! I realize I should have mentioned this in the first post, but I had asked her how...

    Retirement Age

Okies everyone..I need your help with an argument. A women who I had bought a chinchilla from several years ago (before I knew better than to buy from someone breeding pet store chins..idiot me..) called out of the blue and asked if she could use one of my males to breed the same standard...

    Would you adopt a biter?

I really think 'biters' are a combination of both. Environments and genetics. Certainly not in all cases, but in MOST, bitty chins can rehabilitated. But there will always be a few chins who are just meanies, it's just nature. You can't explain it. I've had 2 rescues that were both mean little...
