We tried feeding Pudge a mealworm and he sniffed it and started licking at it but wouldnt eat it. He's really young (2 and a half months) and we dont think he's ever had mealworms before. Is it possible that he just doesnt know what to do with them and if yes then how can we teach him?

I just got back from the vet and he says that physically he is ok but mentally he may not ever be the same. Any suggestions as to what i could do to restore his trust in us and have my little guy back again?
