If there is blood before cleaning it I would look further to see what/where it's coming from. You can take him to a vet if there is a cut of some sort or apply Hibitane. Depending on the savarity/if it's still bleeding you would need to look at him more closely.
Yea I will most def. keep everyone updated on her. I named her Piano. When shes laying out, its almost a straight line. She's still holding her color after a few weeks now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

This past week I had 3 litters born, and all are beige. I lucked out with 3 females and two males. There are 4 hetero beiges, and a homo beige female.

Stones can be a possibility and so can a seizure. I had one of my rescues pass on me back in 2006 due to a seizure. She didnt have nasal discharge though. She did pee but Im not sure if it occurred during the seizure, or because she passed away.

I think its best to stay away from "treats" Its not really in a natural diet for the chinchilla. Try buying an assortment of appropriate hays and serve those as a treat. The animals will love it.

Ebony carrier female and a White Ebony male. The male was nipped a tad on the tail, nothing major. Im really happy with their healthy weights. A1 is 53g and A2 is 54g.

I think its really important to show your animals whether you've bred them or not. I agree with nicole in that full credibility must be given to the breeder, but in order for you to breed higher quality animals, even just having the animal graded, will help you decipher whom has potential in...
What are you thoughts regarding this? Ive seen cages that have small spacing of 1/2 x 1/2 as well as some with 1 x 1/2. Im thinking that maybe the 1 by 1/2 spacing is a bit more risky since the spacing is larger, but has anyone had success or mishaps with this?
