New XL Box of Goodies
Just got my new box of goodies from Christine. My first thought opening up the box, their new house was HUGE! Glad I have (2) FN's 182s to fit it in. Had to clean their cage too and remove a shelf.
My chins are super happy today thanks to Christine!
Sarah is already...
I bought (2) FN 182's from ferret.com. I actually got (3), because they won't replace damaged parts, you have to return the entire cage. All (3) came beat up in the original packaging.
Great design ideal, but little quality control. For 100lbs. + of metal, there is nothing in the packaging...
Awesome cage. Love that they have so much room to explore and play.
Do they ever chew on the aluminum foil? Been looking for a bigger litter box, and that would be super cheap to pick up from dollar store.
That's not a plastic dish. That's a large ceramic dog bowl I got from the dollar store, that I use to put kitty litter in for them to pee in. I picked up a few bowls, figuring you can't beat it for $1. I also use them to put hay or alfalfa in.
As far as the fleece work, Annie0 did mine...
So far no problems. I give them multiple types of hay and high quality Oxbow pellets. That's months of chewing from 4 Chins. I also make sure they have plenty of other chew toys, kept Twilight busy for awhile making them.
The next thing I need is to find a bigger litter box, than just large...
Peace!!!
Finally got in all of my new fleece set and just put it all in this week. Looks great thanks to Annie-O, and the awesome toys from Twilight. Chilly, Big Bertha, Sarah, and Emily thank you!
Now what to do next???
I bought both of mine from Ferret.com. They have the best prices and the cheapest shipping. Also recommend using fleece covers for the trays. Easy cleanup with a shop vac and washable.
Their play time is anytime they want. Usually once a week my nieces come down to play with them in our hallway area while i change their fleece and clean their cage.
