I didn't see this on the forum anywhere but check out this great Chinchilla related comic strip. Pretty funny!

make sure you get the right size bolts, nuts, and washers. The sizes should be printed on the bag. I usually use size "10-24". At Home Depot a 4pack of wing nuts and a 4 pack of hanger bolts cost about $.98. Not sure at Lowes though

He doesn't hang out in them much but I do find poop in there so I figure he's made it in there a couple times.

^^ I have the hay rack too but I opted for a flying saucer instead of a wheel. I love the wheel but the rack will have trouble holding the smaller pieces/crumbs of hay. I guess it depends on your cage though

My fiancee and I have one chin and we attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Well actually only she does I just graduated in December

this reminds me of when my chin first learned how to use his flying saucer. He had it for two weeks without even getting on it. Then all of a sudden I hear a weird noise and I couldn't figure out what he was doing until I spied him using the wheel!

This is our new chinchilla Jimmy! My fiancee and I have had him about a month now and he's great! We've done our research prior to getting him and I think we're on our way to be great Chin owners!
