Exclamation eye infection???

I saw today that my oldest chin, Cass, was messing with his eye. I looked at it and saw that it was a bit watery and looked like it had a little bit white goop coming from it. It doesn't look like it got worse from this morning. I have to wait until Tuesday to take him to the vet. Any suggestions on how to keep it clean and healthy until then? I had a hamster with an eye problem and we washed it with saline a couple times a day, but I don't want to do anything until I get some advice.

What a coincidence, my Chinchilla named Cass has to have his eye removed soon because he got a compression injury squeezing through a tough spot. Crazy guy.

I'm sorry but I don't have any advice beyond "See your vet ASAP, don't wait" there are eyedrops that can help but you can't get them over the counter, you need a prescription. Good luck!
