Hello!

Can I put crinkle cut paper (such as this one-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSZSMXH?tag=amz-mkt-chr-us-20&ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-org00-win70-other-nomod-us000-pcomp-feature-scomp-wm-5&ref=aa_scomp) in the chinchilla's cage?

I am hoping to put it into a box for digging, and chewing.

Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't use that in the cage. I'm not sure on how safe that is, it doesn't say anything about being food safe. Also you would have to be sure the chin is just chewing it not eating it, if enough is swallowed it could cause a blockage. Also when paper is peed on it stinks, so it would need to be removed if peed on.

A much better idea for a box of stuff to dig and chew would be wood chips, though aside from digging in their dust they aren't really diggers. I use fleece liners and have a litter box full of aspen shavings for my guys, but they prefer to play in it and chew up the pieces.
