We have had our hedgie for about a year now. He has always been a stinker and fussy. About 2 months ago we had a hibernation scare but got him out of it. Since then he has been in his normal cage. I got him out today to clean his cage and his stomach does not look like it normally does. It's very bumpy and looks very wet along with what looks like swelling but I cannot tell. Wanted to know what you all think as I could not find anything when I was looking stuff up.

This may sound silly, but was he lying on something bumpy that might leave an impression? If not, and if you are still seeing swelling, I would call a competent vet who has seen hedgies before.

His old cage had a rough surface but not bumps like this. I will have to call the vet and see if they can get him in soon.
