My rescue: Orange County Pocket Pets just took in 3 chinchillas from a LA Shelter.
One adult male
One juvenile male
One adult female who was very much pregnant
I left them alone for a day (mommy of course separated from the boys) and I came back today and we had 3 more small additions to their little family! 3 new babies!!
OCPP will adopt them out once they are old enough and I am planning on adopting dad and son together. Hopefully one kit is a female then she will stay with mommy.
(Sorry photos aren't that great I didn't want to bother them too much though mommy was great and let me handle the kits)
I am so thankful we were able to save them in time for mom to give birth in the safety of the rescue and not in a cold shelter cage
