I recently seen a picture of a owner combing their chin. I have read that this is not necessary and I would like your opinions.

If so, what type of brush/comb, should I buy?

Thanks.

Unless you are showing your chin it's not really necessary but can help pretty them up when priming (shedding) or if they get a mat or something stuck in their fur. You comb a chin not brush, for a pet chin a fine toothed comb works (show combs are needles), some people even use flea combs. Brushes can't really get through the fur and are more likely to just push and mat it.

Comb before a bath not after, otherwise the dust can catch in the comb and pull the fur out. Also comb from the tail towards the head, not head to tail like other animals.
