I got Ron's footprints back from the clinic today. They turned out beautifully! I can see every toe, every little foot pad, and even every little claw. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful memento. I sure miss my old lady.
 
Are they the impressions they do in clay? I have one of those from my very first chinnie, Pookie. It sure is an awesome way to remember them by.
 
Your little old lady is with you every day Sandi. And she still loves you every day too.

The lady who does them is very talented. There is a whole range of colours you can pick from, and she will even match the fur colour if you provide a sample. I went with chocolate brown because Ron's quill bands and nose were a yummy chocolate brown colour. I have these footprints done for each pet that passes away. My intention is to someday get a trail of footprints tattooed on my back - one or two from each pet that has shared my life.
 
Very cool! That's a great thing to have to remember him by.
