So sorry. I hope it was nothing contagious. Maybe he was born with a heart problem or diabetes. It's very hard when it's sudden like that.
 
I am so sorry for your loss! Marlow was quite the handsome boy and I'm sure he brought you much happiness. I know you didn't get to have him long, but I'm sure his time with you was incredible and he knows he was loved. I hope you can get some answers from the vet since the not knowing can be so tough.
