ive got a 10week old chinchilla,baby of one of my other chins and shes being fine,but tonight ive gone to the cage and both her eyes are shut even though she moving around the cage,i cant understand why because shes being fine upto now no problems,shes all bright eyed normally.i know it means a trip to vets but can anyone give me any idea as to what could be wrong with her

Is the hair around the eyes wet?
Can you open the eyes? Dustbath today? Maybe just sand stuck there.
 
Did you use/do something different. My Mama chin has eye problems with shavings for bedding but is fine without them. Is her cage kept very clean?
