Below is a list of treats that are generally accepted as safe for hedgehogs.

Insects:
mealworms (worm, pupae & beetle)
crickets
silk worms

Fruits (You will want to cut some of these these into bite size pieces to prevent potential choking).

Banana, apple, pear, kiwi, strawberries, watermelon, cantelope, blueberries

Vegetables (cooked with no seasoning)

carrots, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes

Meats (cooked with no seasoning):

salmon, turkey, chicken

Some treats which are also good for the intestinal tract include:

Yam (steamed)
Pumpkin (canned or steamed, no seasoning, not the pie filling type unless it is plain)
Papaya (no seeds, just the nice orange flesh)
Yogurt in very small quantities, in some cases in between antibiotic doses as a probiotic (strawberry or peach)

Mealworms are fine. If you feed too many at once you may cause some GI upset or the hedgehog may gain weight, but I have fed mealworms daily to every hedgehog I've had.

Now superworms... stay away from those, they bite.
