Two things.

1. What vets are around the South Jersey area?

2. I'm ready to get a hedgehog. But now that I'm ready to get one I'm rethinking the whole thing. I would love to get one, but I'm thinking about all the responsibilities. Like:
Cleaning the cage every other day, Cleaning the wheel, feeding him/her, playing with him/her.
Its not that I'm lazy its that when I get a dog (which my family is, so I can't pick between the two) I think it will be a lot of things to juggle.
I know I will love this hedgehog, but is it worth it???

If you're not sure you can handle the responsibility, I wouldn't get one. There are too many pets of all kinds without homes. You don't want to get one & decide you don't feel like cleaning up after it, etc. after the fact.

Well... if a family dog is definitely going to happen, one thing you could do is to wait until doggie has been home for awhile, see what extra doggie responsibilities you have to pick up, then make an informed decision about adding a hedgie.

Vets around South Jersey -- not sure, I'm a few states away. What I would do is check a few lists that are out there, then start calling around to the places that look good on-line, go for a visit, etc...
