Hopefully I answered this right! Farenheit confuses me even with a handy Google converter, haha. I try and keep the house at 23 degrees celsius (73 degrees farenheit or so) but because my chinchilla's cage is in the 'basement' (which is actually at ground level, but its the lowest level of the house) his area is a few degrees cooler, probably 20-21 degrees celsius on average, which is about 69.8 degrees farenheit.
I answered it with the temp at which point I put their AC on (about 73), I live in an area that is regularly below 70 degrees and I don't normally do heat or cooling unless the temps are very untollerable!
I used to keep my chins rooms at about 60-62, but now I try to keep it at 65 degrees.
When I kept it colder they seemed to use their fleece liners to cover up with so I slowly raised the temp of their room.
Yuki's room NEVER gets over 70. I'm a worry wort after pics and stories of overheated chins. His will fluctuate with the weather- but the house usually doesn't go under 60.
Well I said 68-69 since that is about what I try to aim for, however I only have a cheap window ac for the chin's room so no temp setting just ac high or low and fan high or low, so it's more like between 60 and 75.
