Hi I'm new here I was going to make ledge for my new babies and I got kiln spruce but I'm getting mixed thought if it is safe or not please help anyone ever use it is it safe

As long as it's dried I'm pretty sure it's safe. Here is a list of safe and non-safe woods: http: //letslovechinchillas.weebly.com/safe-wood.html

Thank you I keep getting mixed thoughts on it and it is driving me nuts trying to find out

I have been using kiln dried spruce in my guys cage for several years. Pine, spruce, and fir are so similar that they are commonly harvested together and sold as PSF wood rather then separate wood types. Once harvested it can be very hard to tell the difference just by looking at it, but so long as they are kiln dried they are safe.
